Free Reddit Chat Generator & Fake DM Mockup

Reddit's built-in chat is where a lot of DMs now happen, and its screenshots carry the u/username format and Reddit's own bubble styling. This template rebuilds that so a fictional Reddit conversation reads as the platform rather than a generic messenger.

How to create your reddit chat

Three steps, all in the browser. Nothing is uploaded to an account and nothing is published anywhere.

  1. Step 1

    Set the contact

Enter the other user as a u/username and set the status. Reddit identities are handles rather than real names, so a plausible u/ handle is what makes the chat read as Reddit; the template shows it in the header exactly as the app does.

  2. Step 2

    Write the conversation

Add each message, mark which side sends it, and set the times. Reorder to fix the flow and remove any line without rebuilding. Sent and received bubbles take Reddit's own styling as you toggle which side each message belongs to.

  3. Step 3

    Export

Confirm the sender sides and wrapping in the preview, then download the PNG with no account. The conversation is fictional and rendered as a still image; no message is sent through Reddit and no real user is involved.

Before you export

Does this message a real Reddit user?

No. It is a still image of a conversation you typed. It does not sign in to Reddit, send chats, or reach a real user.

Is the Reddit Chat editor free without Discord?

Yes. Open the template, edit the fields and download a PNG without an account. Discord verification and invite roles are used for the separate Proofs, Fansigns and Videos tools, not for this Social Mockups template.

What is included in the download?

The current preview is rendered as a PNG at 2x pixel density, including the visible fictional label. Uploaded images and text are part of the composition. It is a still design example, not proof of a real account, conversation or interaction.
