How to create your youtube short

Three steps, all in the browser. Nothing is uploaded to an account and nothing is published anywhere.

  1. Step 1

    Choose the image

Upload a portrait image suitable for a Shorts cover. Check that the subject remains visible after the vertical crop. A background-color control also lets you prepare a composition before the artwork is ready.

  2. Step 2

    Set the channel details

Edit the username, avatar and title or caption. Add an audio label for the concept, then set fictional like, comment and share counts. These fields only change the mockup image.

  3. Step 3

    Review the safe areas

Look at the channel block near the bottom and the right-hand action controls. Move important artwork away from these areas in your source image, then download the still PNG with its visible fictional label.

Before you export

Is the Shorts mockup an MP4 file?

No. The free Social Mockups export is PNG. The audio label is visual text; it does not add a soundtrack or create a playable Short.

Is the YouTube Short editor free without Discord?

Yes. Open the template, edit the fields and download a PNG without an account. Discord verification and invite roles are used for the separate Proofs, Fansigns and Videos tools, not for this Social Mockups template.

What is included in the download?

The current preview is rendered as a PNG at 2x pixel density, including the visible fictional label. Uploaded images and text are part of the composition. It is a still design example, not proof of a real account, conversation or interaction.
